img245% price hikes, Eskom has no money for new capacity, and the 10GW renewable targetr is hardly touched.

Eskoms reliance on 77% of its capacity from Coal has come home to roost. With rapidly rising coal prices, and plants only 32% efficient it was only a matter of time before the "days of plenty" were over.

The ANC have got some hard decisions to make, and perversely its seems to be taking the most expensive energy solution on Earth - Nuclear! At over $7.0m per Megawatt to build, compared with $2.5m MW for coal. However both have problems, coal has huge running costs to burn the stuff, and Nuclear - why are all the climate crunchers ignoring the nuclear waste issue. These costs are un-quantify-able - let alone the risks to humans for centuries to come.

Solar stations are the quickest, cleanest and least expensive to run. 10GW is possible within Eskoms current capacity spend. So lets do everyone a favour and go green
